We aim to provide a complete healthcare service for your pet and have the ability to do a number of diagnostic tests at the surgery. This allows prompt effective treatment and a reduced waiting time for results. These tests include a range of blood and urine tests, microscope analysis, x-rays, ultrasound and endoscopy.

We have free of charge nurse clinics for general advice/care, application of medications, puppy weight checks, ear cleaning & plucking advice and parasite treatments.

We also offer at the surgery, hospitalisation if required for our patients, either in spacious indoor heated dog kennels or in our separate indoor cat ward.

Behavioural advice can also be given by the veterinary team. We work closely with Sarah Heath, a renowned veterinary behaviourist who works at the Behavioural Referrals Practice.

At times it may be necessary to refer your pet to a specialist. Here at Gilmore Veterinary Surgery, which is a first opinion practice, we work closely with a number of specialist veterinary surgeons to allow us to give your pet the best possible care.

The specialist veterinary surgeons either attend Gilmore Veterinary Surgery as required or practice at specialist centres, such as Liverpool Small Animal Teaching Hospital. You can be assured that if we think a referral may be required, that we will take this into consideration when considering the best treatment/investigation plan for your pet and discuss your options with you thoroughly.
